Bamileke Wooden Shields (Armor).
These beautiful Geometric pattern and shaped shields come from the Bamileke people of Cameroon. Hand-carved out of one piece of wood. The surface features geometric patterns covered in Kaolin (white clay). The back has a thick wooden handle on the inside for gripping.
Traditionally these shields were used as defensive weapons and decorative objects, Symbolizing Status and Wealth.
Today these African Shields are a favorite among designers, decorators, and art collectors.
They come in 3 sizes:
Large : 60x60cm 
Medium : 50x50cm 
Small: 40x40cm 
They can be used as wall hangings or put on a metal + wooden stand as table, Tv stand, side stool or center table décor.
