This is an artisan curated candle stands. Irresistible African style candle holders made with in inspiration of the Maasai community within East Africa. Young men between the ages of about 14 and 30 in this community, are traditionally known as 'morans'. During this life stage they live in isolation in the bush, learning tribal customs and developing strength, courage, and endurance—traits for which Maasai warriors are noted throughout the world.
The candle holders are sold as a pair, representing the man and the wife. It is made completely by hand using a combination of traditional and modern tools and techniques and is sized to fit a standard tapered candlestick.
